I am a designer, thinker, TED fellow, entrepreneur, educator, movement starter and trouble maker. I now run a design consultancy and a design magazine.

Born in Singapore, grew up in Hong Kong, served in the military before coming to America for my design education at Rhode Island School of Design.

In 2008, I help found a national conference called A Better World by Design bringing 300 people from around the country who were redefining the social and environmental realm. Building upon the success, the conference attracted 550 people in 2009.

In 2009, I was nominated as a TED Fellow. I then started BIG NEW IDEAS, a design consultancy, working with non-profits and companies making their idea happen. I then cycled 4,000 miles from Providence, RI to Seattle, WA raising money and awareness for affordable housing.
