August 27th: Designing a Better World: Fireside Chat Speaker Lineup

Being entrepreneurs ourselves, we balance two basic things - our ambitious idea and our finite resources. And while an idea may have power, an idea has no inherent value independent of execution. On August 27th, Neil Brown of Barnum will be moderating a fireside chat with four seasoned entrepreneurs, we are inviting you to hear their stories, experiences and lessons they learned along the way. They will also be addressing questions around starting your own business and the steps that entrepreneurs take.

Neil Brown
Neil is Managing Director of Barnum and Co-Founder of Sweat Ventures. With a unique skill set that blends a passion for entrepreneurship, emerging markets, creative strategy, and an obsessive demand for flawless execution, he always keeps an eye on the big picture. Whether high-level brand strategy, expanding revenue opportunities, diminishing operational hurdles, or the conceptual development of digital experiences, Neil works directly with the key stakeholders of Barnum’s clients and partners to crystalize and accelerate their vision. 

Yvonne Lin
Yvonne Lin is an Associate Director at Smart Design and is one of the founding members of the Femme Den. Her area of expertise is considering gender in developing compelling and functional solutions to complex design problems. She is the inventor on more than twenty patents and has designed products and experiences for companies like Nike, Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett-Packard, Lego, Pyrex, Nissan, and Under Armour. 

Bryan Birsic
Bryan is President of SimpleReach and leads Sales, Customer Development, and Marketing. Before joining SimpleReach, Bryan spent four years at Village Ventures, starting and leading their advertising technology group and representing Village on the boards of Babble, Extreme Reach, and Trefis. Bryan began his career as a strategy consultant to Fortune 100 companies at Bain & Company. 

Karl Heine
Heine has more than thirty years as an entrepreneur in the marketing communications sector — 25 years as a solutionist of talent for major brands, agencies, design firms, and corporate communications departments.
